Probing discoverability…
Questions
Twenty-one agent-readiness probes in five categories: Discoverability (robots.txt, sitemap, Link headers, DNS-AID), Content Accessibility (markdown negotiation), Bot Access Control (AI bot rules, Content Signals, Web Bot Auth), Discovery (API catalog, OAuth metadata, auth.md, MCP server card, A2A agent card, agent-skills, WebMCP), and Commerce (x402, MPP, UCP, ACP, AP2 — only when the origin looks commercial).
Equal weight per check. Denominator = non-neutral checks in the four scoring categories (commerce never counts; webBotAuth stays neutral on fail). score = round(100 × pass / (pass + fail + unableToCheck)). Computed server-side.
A gated ladder: each level requires the previous. L1 Basic Web Presence (2 of 3: robots / sitemap / Link headers) → L2 Bot-Aware (+ AI rules + Content Signals) → L3 Agent-Readable (+ markdown negotiation) → L4 Agent-Integrated (+ one of MCP card / A2A card / agent-skills / API catalog) → L5 Agent-Native (+ two of three advanced buckets). Level 0 = Not Ready.
Usually 5–15 seconds. Probes fan out in waves with an ~8s per-probe timeout; timeouts surface as Unable to check, not Fail.
Yes — about one hour per host + profile. Rescan (or ?fresh=1) bypasses the cache.
